Miriam is an excellent pilates teacher. She has the wonderful combination of technical knowledge and skill with great energy and personality so that by the time you finish a session you have had a great workout without even realizing time passed. Her teaching style is precise and therapeutic while also challenging and athletic, which has great results for toning, fitness, and overall well-being. In particular Miriam focuses the beginning of the class on the pelvic floor, which is so critical to recondition after childbirth.. I have had Miriam as a teacher, both pre and post natal, for almost a year and I look forward to continuing with her for a long time to come.
I wouldn't give up my private session with Miriam for anything. The results were almost immediate, I felt stronger in general but especially in my core. I do contemporary dance so Pilates has really improved my technique and general fitness level. Miriam is also great at identifying microscopic details in movement and posture which is essential for me as I have general lower back pain, she really knows her stuff and pushes you enough while being 100% aware of your general ability and fitness level.
I have always had a consistent workout schedule mainly circuit training. After 12 years of doing that, I decided to try Pilates hoping it would add variety and help me to destress. Miriam, through her one-on-one sessions, has brought an unexpected new form of balance into my life. My body feels healthier, more flexible and leaner. I handle stress better. The truth is that Miriam makes the difference with her patience, commitment, gentle yet firm approach and always shining with positive energy. If it were not for her, I would have given up and not been able to benefit from the full impact of Pilates.
